Give him a big thanks from me (I'd figure from all of us, but I don't want to make presumptions.)

(also -- do him some justice and make him a Soldier and not Solder :) )

great news indeed. :hello:

make sure to look for feedback from him on what he needs now: give him space if thats what he wants, and attention if he calls for it. make sure he knows he has your and the family's support no matter what that means (an ear to listen, a counselor, 18 dozen beers, 16 strippers, whatever). i know coming home means different things for different folks, just be aware.

tell him and your family thanks for the sacrifice. families dont get thanked as much as they should either!

Now tell him to stay home!

It will be his choice! Whatever it is, he will be supported!

Good to hear he survived a year in A-stan. No doubt he was able to see the two seasons there...the fighting season and the next fighting season. A job well done!

Welcome Home, the sooner we get all our kids home from there the better.
