It's real windy this time of year down here in the deep south. We are not far from the gulf so we get all types of crazy winds. If it's gusting over 30 I'll stay home, but to me the wind is a good training aid. Sure I'll curse it sometimes, but it's worth it when you get that pushed along feeling where you can't hear any wind, and you are sailing along with no effort glancing at your speedo, thinking... damn I'm movin'.

here in jersey city its flat as pancake + as windy as sin.So, it's extremely exhausting riding in one direction and too easy when riding in the other direction?

Hmmm...sounds like riding in the Alps. Decide which route is your Matterhorn and embrace it.

I rode up the outside of the Wahington Monument yesterday evening.

1. Warm on the way up, no wind.

2. Quite windy and chilly at the top.

3. Really windy and bitter cold on the way down, except at the very bottom, where it seemed as if everything stopped very quickly, with no wind at all.

csb seems always to be in the dark. He is normally in a fog, a very deep, thick, and dark one. :) :)

In a fog myself,

Fly a kite from your bike.

Last week Kevan flew a very large kite from his bike. The kite caught a large wind gust and Kevan and his lightweight carbon fiber creation simply rose off the ground and disappeared form sight. Haven't heard from him since. Haven't sent out my search and rescue dog team either. Don't intend to either. BOY I LOVE KITES!! I simply LOVE kites!!!! :) :)
