Does anyone know what happend to Chris Chance of Fat City Cycle or Jeff Lindsay of Mountain Goat? What are they doing now? They were great bike makers, but have disappeared from the bike scene.

I remember lusting after their bikes, but found them gone when I can finally afford them.

Its sad that Chris rode off into the sunset never to touch a torch again . Yeah I last heard he was in a different profession . I care to remember him as the guuy that made the Yo Eddy famous .

Chris was a great guy. I had the opportunity to produce the pulley rollers for the front derailluer back in the 'Yo Eddy days. I enjoyed doing business with them.

That is great. I am happy he is still using his artistic talent and working with steel. I wonder whether he will take requests on the side to make more Mountain Goats.

Thanks for the info.

A good friend of mine ran into Chris not too long ago. He was living and working in Vermont, outside the bicycle industry.

Short and typical CC story. I had broken the third steel CC Mtn. frame asked him to make me a custom Ti bike...his reply "it is a waste of money" just get the steel bike.
