Veloflex Extreme Tire Orientation

Just bought a pair of Veloflex Extreme tubulars from Danny (CritUSA) :beer:

Unlike Conti's, however, there is no clear indication of the tire direction for mounting. The tread does seem to have a pattern to the chevrons on the sides and I want to make sure I mount the tires in the proper direction. Does anyone know if there is an intended direction for these tires?

the stipes, as they are known, are supposed to run toward the front of the tyre in the centre of the tread. On all the Veloflex tyres I've ever used the nice colourful label goes at the valve hole, label facing drive side.

Since I don't use Veloflex Extreme YMMV

The file type tread pattern serves no practical purpose on road tires.

Thanks guys. There's a label on both side of this tire, so that doesn't help with orientation. The chevrons pointing forward seems to be the way to go.
