Any thoughts appreciated.

Which Carbon fork will do the best job of isolating the rider from the jolts caused by cracks and other imperfections in the road? I want a comfortable fork - not necessarily the stiffest one.

Thanks for any help.

Jim

It's been my experience that a steel fork is more shock absorbing than a carbon fork. Not the answer you were looking for however.

I've changed my lugged steel framesets to carbon forks as I find them better at shock absorption than the original steel forks, especially over smaller imperfections. I particularly like the Advanced Carbon fork with an alloy steerer. And they are realatively inexpensive compared to the big names. And plenty stiff enough. If you insist on a high-end name than both the AlphaQ Sub3 and Ouzo Pro all carbon are very nice.

whichever one has the proper rake and ride height...which is probably none of them. if your frame wasn't built around it...it'll probably suck worse than the one that came with the bike. let 5psi out of your tires.
