can anyone tell me the difference between the campy ut-bb110 fixing bolt tool, used to install the carbon cranks, and a 10 mm hex key. thanks.

The BB tool is longer and you can use it with a torque wrench. It's a 10mm hex bolt though.

Totally unnecessary. Get yourself a long 10mm hex socket like this one from Sears:

Further, if the hex socket isn't long enough, you could always put on an extension. Good Luck!

I had the same problem. I only had a 10mm allen key that was too short.

So I cut 1 inch of the allen key, and used it *in* a 10mm socket, with enough protruding to use on the BB bolt. The 1mm socket in turn is in an extansion, then onto the torque wrench. Cost me nothing.

This is exactly what I did. I used a 10mm deep socket and have a wrap of duct tape (naturally) around the socket-allen interface to keep it together.

Came with my hex set from Park. Works perfectly.

as the others have said, nothing special about it, pick up any metric allen socket. get the whole set while you're at it, very handy!

park tools makes (or brands anyway) an adjustable wrench too, and hammers, so places like bike shops can do "one stop shopping" for all of their tools, instead of going to craftsman, mac, snap-on, etc. a hammer is a hammer in the end though.

My allen set it is pretty long.

I'll look into that sears tool, interesting stuff :) Maybe better.
