Salsa Flip offs--brittle?

So I picked up some salsa flip offs and have now cracked two sets of the cam followers by using what I'd consider less pressure than I use w/ my regular skewers. What gives? Anyone else have this issue? On the upside, Salsa is incredibly quick w/ sending out new cam followers, but I just wish it weren't an issue...

Nvm. I figured it out. The black plastic washer and cam follower go on the same side. Wowweee do i feel bright.

been using them for the last 3 years and never had an issue...

Yup. That's right, and the plastic around the QR lever wears down pretty quickly. They haven't been very well made, from what I've seen.
