For the pro cycling fans...

The 2011 UCI Pro Cycling schedule was announced today. I had some free time so entered the info for the major races, as well as a few of the 2.1 and 2.2 races into iCal (Max OS X) and published the calendar here:

2011 UCI Pro Cycling Calendar (http://ical.mac.com/WebObjects/iCal.woa/wa/default?d=1&u=rockyshores&v=1&y=2011&m=0&n=2011%20Pro%20Cycling.ics)

At the above link you can view the calendar on the web (obviously), download it to your .ics compatible calendar program, or subscribe to the calendar (with automatic updates).

Jan 18th is just around the corner; Paris-Nice is practically the next block over. :D

on edit: updated/fixed February race calendar dates.

New Year's Day bump!

Another season of pro racing starts tomorrow with the Jayco Bay Cycling Classic Criterium in Australia, followed by the Tour Down Under.

Looks like a very competitive season this year.

Happy New Year everyone!

For those who haven't subscribed with auto updates, I have added the "Vuelta Ciclista a Andalucia-Ruta del Sol" to the race calendar.

Let us all hope for "Clean racing", riders crossing the line on their last leggs and looking trashed. I'm tired of defending my sport against the unwashed villagers who think their sport is "Clean".

More classy wins like Fabian C. and Philip G. provide.
"Let them draft, I don't care. I will crack them off my back like so many walnut shells". Eddy Merkx.
No he didn't say that, I did on my last ride. Maybe he did say it....
