My first Robin Hood! Well, I don't really blame the carbon for this.

Looks like your house...are you getting ready for trick-or-treaters?

Seriously though, CrMo arrows would have just bent and are reparable.

Great consistency, but were you consistently on or off target? ;)

I normally shoot a recurve but a buddy brought in an extra compound bow so I though I would give it a shot (my first attempt with a compound). Were they both off target? Yes! I was having the sight aligned when this happened so they were all consistantly off target. The sound of carbon splitting is much cooler when not on a bike.

Maybe now my wife will believe me when I say I can hit the apple atop her head :p

lol... ;)
I've done the same to Easton X7's (aluminum).
GuyGadois - Are you shooting recurve or compound? I used to compete at a national level as a junior, mostly with a Yamaha EX Alpha and Easton ACE's (but also a Hoyt Gold Medalist for a while).
Cheers

I shoot a recurve (the Robin Hood was done shooting a buddies compound). I used to shoot a bit when I was a kid but recently started up again as my 10 year old wanted to give it a go. Instead of sitting on the side watching him shoot we shoot together. It's fun and we have some good shooting compeitions. I can beat him for now but he shoots with a compound and he keeps getting more and more accurate.

Compounds are so much more accurate but, I must admit, I love the simplicity of a recurve.

Sounds like fun. After several years I developed a bit of target/clicker panic, and after a while I threw in the towel (but did accumulate 3 national junior/cadet titles).
I'd love to try it again, but with two very young kids now, just too busy. And I want to try to 'push' my little guy into swimming and biking (and maybe judo...)... :)
