I wanted to send a bottle of wine to a cycling buddy in PA, but when I go online to order a bottle, it appears that you can't send wine to PA?
Are there places -within- PA that you can order wine delivery from??

Thanks!

PA has some of the most ridiculous alcohol laws in the nation. No one will ship to PA due to legal and administrative hassles.

If you go to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) web site you may find a way to do it. I believe that you can order wine online but there may be a minimum quantity requirement.

PA has mafi....err, lobbyist-driven laws that protect distributors and state liquor stores. Your best bet is to call a local distributor to hand-deliver a case of Schlitz in cans. That, they'll do.

I don't suppose that your buddy works out of state?

Buy the bottle at a local shop and put it in a box. Gets it there in two days. Just pack it well and don't declare that it's alcohol. Shouldn't be worried about it going bad during the transit this time of year.

Where in PA?

Maybe you can bribe a forum member in PA to hand deliver one.

You can't ship into PA, and you can't ship out of PA, but PA wineries can ship to addresses within PA. An adult must sign for the delivery.

Are there any wineries in PA worth the hassle and expense . . . probably not. :bike:

Weird. I thought the fed shot down that sort of law about interstate wine shipping several years ago. I know it opened up most states for delivery - too bad.

How about shipping it from here:
