I haven't been riding a whole lot lately, but I still get out this time of year to take some pics. The leaves took their time about changing this year but they're finally getting around to it.

Wonderful stops and really makes me miss PA in your area. But I will not miss the winter and will look forward to the early spring.

Nice. Kodachrome-like, which is a good thing, IMHO.

Good to hear you're enjoying some riding... we still have a little time left. :p

Really well done Ray. You are making me homesick, even though I'm only about 25miles south of the border.

That's actually a relatively busy road - note that there's a car on it in the shot! I ride it sometimes but I have to be more on my toes than normal. The road in the next to last shot is a bit more typical of a lot of what I ride around here. Narrow, unmarked country roads, a few cars an hour at most. I can ride for a long time on these roads and only see a few cars if I go out at the right times...

Great pictures Ray. They remind me of the ride you lead for the forum. We are going to have to get back to your area and do some more riding and enjoy the scenery.

How much post-production work on them??

Very Kodachrome as someone else pointed out!

Thanx for sharing...

A couple of them were on roads we were on that day.

Thanks Mark. There is a bit of a Kodachrome look to them isn't there...

Very little PP. I usually shoot RAW but I just got an LX-5 and my software doesn't support those raw files yet, so these were all jpegs. I brought the sky up in a couple, but that was about it.

As usual, nice pictures Ray.

A detail I've noticed around here also: those fences with four horizontal sections always look like overkill to me. Three seems like the perfect number, and should work even if you have horses or livestock bumping into them. I can't figure out why some folks use four. Unless it's to be different, but even then, it still looks weird to me.

Thanks Louis. I gotta say, I'd never noticed that the newer fences had four sections. But you're right, the older fence in the middle shot has 3 and all of the others have 4. Now I'm gonna be counting them every time I ride out there.

Beautiful photos. Sometimes, when my wanderlust is kicking in high gear, images like these help to reinforce what great cycling roads we have right here in our backyard. Thanks!

Hey Ray, is that Apple Grove Road out there near Springton? Just checking as it is beautiful this time of year.

Is that out by West Chester? Looks like some of the roads I rode on during the Cyclesbykyle rides?

Almost (but not quite) makes me miss living out there!

Nope, none of these are on Apple Grove - they're more out toward Runnymeade off of 841.

Go Phillies!

Yeah, I live right in the middle of West Chester - these roads are about 15-20 miles west of there.

Hey Ray, Runnemeade used to be one of my favorite roads when I lived in West Chester several years ago. What a beautiful road and so serene just about any time of day.
