I know this is slightly off topic, but this is a forum with every
intelligent and experienced riders.

I am looking for a towel to use for showering at the office after a bike commute. I use a shared facility and they do not have towels available.
Looking for something that is light and compact. Can anyone recommend a towel that has worked well?

Thanks,
Andrew

any outdoors store (such as rei, etc) will have them in variety of sizes.

Outdoors-goods stores often sell hiking/camping towels which are small and absorbent.

Try a towel from MSR. They pack up small and are pretty effective at soaking up water. Just make sure you get one big enough to cover your junk.

My wife and I use REI MultiTowel when we're bike touring/camping. They're micro fiber, very absorbent, dry quickly and can be packed in a small space if necessary. http://www.rei.com/product/783079?preferredSku=7830790031&cm_mmc=cse_froogle-_-datafeed-_-product-_-7830790031&mr:trackingCode=0D3DB1FE-FB85-DE11-B7F3-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA

The Aquis brand microfiber towels are readily available at local retailers like bed, bath, and beyond and are only $15 from Amazon. I have two in rotation that have been in use for over 10 years. They last forever, dry quickly, and fold up to a quite compact size. The medium one (15 x 29 inches) is absorbent enough to dry off from a shower.

I carry a 6X6 piece of an REI camp towl on my longer rides. It's great to wash the salt off your face on those hot summer rides by stopping at any public water fountain or rest room. If its an organized ride with ice water it feels even better.

Aarghhh-- you beat me to it!

Seriously, the packable microfiber ones available at any backpacking business are probably what you want...
