Hah! I'm in the process of converting (taking off all the retro grouch stuff) an older Bridgestone RB-T to a CX bike to race Staten Island cross this year. I hope Grant would approve. This is quite inspirational. I wish someone made a 1" threadless carbon CX fork!

I'm glad you guys all like it! I'm listening to everything people say about it, and will probably start adding some pages soon... :D
(also, hi everyone! I'm glad to have contributed something besides buying stuff out of the classifieds now..)

There is so much truth in this. Love it. My favs:
1. CX bike + balls = mountain bike.
2. CX bike + slicks = road bike.
3. TIP: don't let your friend stop at a drive-thru with your bike atop the car. "Did you hear that?" "Clang?"
Last week, I had to build my friend a new rear wheel after driving his Ti Cycles through the McDonald's drive thru at 6:15 am, on our way to CX practice here in Seattle.

Ouch! Luckily the 'warning clang' stopped us before he got all the way into the drive through... :crap:
As you can imagine, everything in the comic comes from personal experience (well, besides the part about riding over an active volcano...)

That was great. I enjoyed every panel. :)

I must reiterate that these are both must-reads... Hence its inclusion as one of the only three "to learn more" links included in the comic!
My 'history' page wouldn't exist without the information from Joel's page, and I wish I had gone back to more eloquently relate the "spirit is the same" feeling that I got from reading Eugene Christophe's article.

Sweet. I forwarded it on to a local buddy with a soft spot for CX who runs a cycling blog.

Thank you very much! Enough people have seen this now that the pressure is on to make it better!

That was great!
Makes me actually want to race - just for the hell of it... and I don't race.

Thank you very much, that's a meaningful endorsement! Don't come after me too hard once you realize it hurts... ;)
SIDE NOTE: I've started to draw for my CrossVegas/Interbike report...

Not sure where I'm going with it, but I thought people who liked the comic would like this too.
