The American tennis player — ranked No. 118 — will miss the rest of the 2010 season after breaking his left elbow in a freak mountain biking accident, according to the ATP's official web site.
Ginepri was riding near his Georgia hometown when a squirrel ran into his path. He swerved to avoid the critter and rolled about 50 yards, breaking his ulna, the report said.
Ginepri, 27, underwent surgery last Friday and will be in a cast for 4-6 weeks, the report said."
“Now that I cannot play tennis, I really want to,” Ginepri said. “I would rather be hitting crosscourt forehands than doing rehab five times a week.”
