And so does my girlfriend.

LA Tri today. Bike section passed in front of my apt building.

Witnessed:

1 man on a hybrid with an aero helmet.
1 man on a black cruser tucked in the middle of his h-bars aero style.
1 large large large woman pass a dude on a guru with a Zipp disc.
1 14-17 year old male riding a pinarello
0 Serottas
15-20 people racing with back packs on
2 people taking pictures while riding
1 lady texting while riding
1 man with his helmet on backwards
Countless reasons why I bail on group rides as soon as someone shows up with aero bars mounted to their bike.

The girlfriend remarked that watching them made her self confidence and self-esteem go up.

I wish I had enough sense to 1) bring a camera with me 2) hang out at one of the transitions.

This thread is useless w/out picts.

At least they were out there, however attired, whatever bikes they rode.

+1. By reading this thread again, I'm reminded of those who make fun of the fixie riders (for whatever reason) with their black jeans, tee-shirts or whatever. Well, to be honest, fixies are some of the strongest riders I've seen on bicycles.

whenever i see people out on their bikes and i havent put any miles in for the day, i feel like a slacker
