Hi,

I have a chance to purchase either, or both, of the FIR EA 65 and
Campagnolo Omega rims for a very reasonable price of $30 each. The FIR
EA65 was described as very similar to a Mavic Open Pro - 32h, silver
with double eyelets.

The Campy Omega rim is also 32h, but anodized gray with double
eyelets.

Any experience with either of these rims? Thanks!

I don't know about the FIR but Campy rims were excellent. The only thing is that they are a bear to get tires on & off. It's still the same with the Campy factory wheels.

I have those Campy rims in 32 hole on my daily rider on Centaur 9/10 hubs. I have Continental Ultra Gatorskins 700X25 on them and didn't have too much trouble getting them on.

They stay true. Ride good also like box section rims do. Not aero like new stuff, but I don't care on this bike. So far....super reliable. My wheel builder said they built easy.

I have several set of campy omega tubulars, and the last set built up very nicely. FMB cross tires on them and they might get their first test this weekend.

The campagnolo rims were apparently made by Ambrosio, not sure if the same is true for clinchers.
