View Full Version : Anyone Ever Converted a Campy 8sp hub to 10sp
By swapping the freehub body? Just curious if it's possible or not. I found a set of NOS Record OR hubs and I would love to run them with a 10sp triple setup.

I maybe wrong but I don't think you can swap them.

Hey...Not sure about doing it on Record...but...I recently swapped a "modern" Mirage freehub onto my mid-90's Athena 8s hubs.
The swap required switching over all the guts/axle as well.
Works perfectly...picked up the hub NOS on Ebay for $17.
Make sure you match the axle size on the donor to your hub and you should be good to go!
Good luck....

Sure, just need a Record or Chorus 8s hub(or that Record OR hub, same freehub, longer axle) and a 1997 Record or 1998 Chorus 9s(also 10s and 11s) freehub body(steel or titanium axle), it's plug and play but these freehub bodies, last made over a decade ago, are scarce.
