Anyone have an M5 x 0.5 Thread Die?

I've got a fouled thread on my Record rear derailleur adjuster. Of course, Campagnolo uses a non-standard TPI for this part. Our machine shop doesn't have anything to chase the thread. The replacements are $20 and $10 shipping! I'm loath to buy one of the $4 3rd party replacements, but damn, it kills me to spend $30 for the Campy part.

I wish! Campy website says it's a 0.5 and we checked it with a gauge and confirmed it. Our tool builders don't work with anything this fine...
