Either my ~2 yr old Regal is going bad or the chamois on several of my PI shorts is starting to go bad. In the last few weeks I've been having some sit-bone area discomfort when I use my slightly older PI shorts, but no real issues if I use my very new shorts. I can't tell if it's the saddle or the shorts causing the problem.

Based on the material I would think the Regals would last a long, long time, but this is the first one I've ever used, so I don't know. Also, I weigh ~175 lbs.

TIA for the info.

I've had older PI chamois separate on a couple pair. I'll give PI props as they stand behind their lifetime warrantee and set newer model replacement shorts.
A Regal should last for years and years.

I have at least 25,000 miles on my Regal. Check your shorts.

agree that regals are about shape, not padding, so they really shouldn't/don't wear out.
