Hi,

I'm interested in buying a titanium hardtail and the Serotta Ti Max is on my list.

I can't find that much (detail) pictures of a Ti Max frame on the net.

If you own a brushed (no paint) Ti Max, could you please post some close/detail (weld) pictures of rear drop outs, bottom bracket, head tube, rear tringle to seat tube.

Thank you very much.

Regards,
Harrie

Not great, but I remembered seeing these on the ebay auction recently.

You'd likely do better posting this question in the general discussion section though.

Can anyone explain why the cables are routed on the sides of the top tube on the Ti Max, but on top on the Max iT?

That side routing makes no sense to me on any mtb, much less one that costs $5K.

you can have the routing pretty much everywehre you want :-)

for example - I have an additional brake hose brazeon at the top of the seat tube. the only thing serotta recommended when i ordered my timax: please keep the shifting cables and the disk hose seperate as they might induce too much heat into the tube at ONE point if placed too close together.

but - your milage may vary – other companies have no "problem" keeping all three in one brazeon.

the only thing i would change for the next frame: have "closed" brake hose braze ons – do not like the look of zip-ties too much and could really, really well hande the additional steps involved when changing brake (or hoses)

cheers,
