If you need it for a wireless srm pm, just stick a rare earth magnet to one of the frame tubes in the right area and you are golden.

On some frames this works fine, on others it doesn't. Definitely the easiest and in some ways the best solution if it does work. On many bikes the only tube close enough to the powermeter is the chainstay, and often the chainstay is too close. Or, the bottom bracket shell is so bulky that there is literally no place facing the powermeter to glue the magnet. The magnet does have to be inside the diameter of the white plastic plate on the inside of the powermeter.
Note that the reed switch(es) in an SRM powermeter tend to be rather sensitive to the magnetic field strength. If the magnet is too close or too big, it can cause the reed switch(es) to close twice per revolution, doubling your cadence. One advantage of the SRM unit is that it can be slid closer to or away from the powermeter so you can adjust for this problem.
It's always a good idea to browse www.rare-earth-magnets.com and buy a selection of magnets -- thin round discs for affixing to disc wheels or deep-section rims, rods to slip inside the valve cutout of a disc wheel, and a magnet that's perhaps 1/4 x 1/4 x 1 inch that can be glued so the end points at the powermeter. Get a variety of different sizes and shapes and you can jerry rig most any setup.
