Looking at a new group and shinybikes has 2010 somewhat less than 2011 and wondered if there are any changes to speak of?

6700 is the new Ultegra, mimics 7900 very well, very nice group but it was introduced earlier this year. No real changes for 2011 specifically. I suspect they are trying to sell 6600. Also nice but 6700 is more refined, IMO.

but in this case they're both '6700' ultegra, just one is labeled 2010 and the other 2011. the only difference i see is the 2011 is only offered as a triple.

?

Still double cranks, FD, RD and a 'triple' STI will shift a double just fine, for 2011.

I have a nine speed like that and actually would prefer the 10 like that. :)

i was saying there should be no difference except the triple is labeled 2011, and the double version is labeled 2010.

Thanks -I did not catch the triple for the 2011 group. That clears it up.

Sorry, color me confused. I have a 6703 crank in my case, bought it about 3 months ago.

My bike came with the 6700 Ultegra stuff, amazing look and I digged the hollowtech crank that they came out with for it. I took it off after a day and sold the group (I prefer SRAM and I had a brand new SRAM Red gruppo) but the stuff is amazing! Good luck with it :) highly recommended.
