I am in gripe mode today as you can tell....

We think we should quit drooling whenever we see bikes set up with monster saddle-to-handlebar drop or freakishly-long stems.

I mean, seriously, as I survey the landscape, more than half of the guys in the peloton are on bikes that are at least two sizes too small for em'...and then they try to compensate that with sky-high seatpost or long-pipe stem.

Am I off-track, comments?

When I read your title I thought of the below: (Chris Farley - Tommyboy)

Weisan,

I ride a ti Merlin compact frame and they look small. I have the right sized frame, but it is what it is. Everytime I see one (compact frame) posted as a readers rig, someone makes that comment (don't like the angled TT/seatpost showing...blah blah). Sprinters have notoriously LOOOOONNNGGGG stems. Cavs stem is a freakish piece that was brought over and modified from the track. Trust me, the riders are getting what they want (especially guys in Cav's class).

You have too much time on your hands.
