Horses are a lot taller than bikes, but it could be down the road for us. Especially true for down hill mountain bikers.

Looked this up. This forum is so cool. It exposes me to things I would never have thought of. But I was thinking...

An 1800 pound horse traveling at 25mph and falling from a distance of eight feet...uh, carry the eight, times the square root of three...yes. if the jockey plus a jacket was between the horse and the ground that should keep the horse from being injured.

Horses can go a lot faster then 25mph...

But anyway.. I like to think of horses as a sport for people who think motorcycles are too safe.
