Just installed a new campy centaur compact crankset on my wifes older cannondale, and the left crankarm hits (ever so slightly) the left chainstay...makes a slight clicking sound.

The bottom bracket is campy chorus, circa 1997, and the crank attache's via conventional crank bolt with washer.

Anyone seen this and what are my options...other than pinching the chainstay in, which I don't want to do??

Thanks

Don't know the length of that Chorus BB (the later ones were 102mm), but the Centaur is designed for a 111 mm spindle, symmetric.

That could be the problem.

I agree. I think you have a 102mm BB which only works with Chorus and Record cranks. You need a longer spindle.

Yep - my bet is you are using a 102mm BB and not the 111 for centaur. Record triple uses 115... go figure!

Oops - thats for Veloce (115.5 for triple), 111 for Record...
