the picture is unclear, but you can't tell if the pad or just the lycra is worn. eitherway... if it's just the lycra, you can patch it (although i'd question the worth in doing that). no chance of sending them back no?

These appear to be (or were) white shorts. If so, you must throw them away immediately.

Can these be repaired?
Not well or in a long-lasting way.
These should probably be made into trainer shorts or worn under a 'shell' short for mountain biking.
What brand are they?

Note to self...."If tempted to purchase Boure elite shorts...do not" ;)

Not sure how long you have had those. I have worn out some Pear Izumis, but those were really tired. I agree with previous posters...Looks like you've got some "new" stationary trainer shorts.

Replace the insert. You bought crap or your farts sure are strong.

BW...unless those shorts have magic powers that increase your wattage by 400%....it's time to let go.

What good would that do? The insert/pad is perfect, the lycra is what wore out.

Thanks for pointing out my poor comprehension skills-all I saw was brown and assumed it was the pad and not the lycra.

Who wears brown shorts anyway, unless you're trying to hide skid marks?

You should contact Boure about it. I have never dealt with them, but they are reputed to be a stand-up company.

How old are the shorts/ how many times have they been washed/ how many miles have you ridden in them.

Cos they look like you have had your moneys worth out of them.

Are you one of those guys who buys a new fancy $5K bike but still wears his original 1970's Bell helmet? ;)
