Hi There,
Is there anybody that can give me a little history on this particular model. The years it was built & there intended use etc.
Thanks

It is very difficult to say based on the picture.
FORK is threaded so it is at least 10 years old
It also looks like where the seat tube meets and the down tube meet, by BB, that the Cable guide is above instead of under BB so that points toward the 80s.
There is a eyelet on rear triangle which was special and not stock
Single Water Bottle to 80s or earlier
Rear wheel slot has screws for alignment which are the newest mid 80s if from Serotta
Serial ## on BB might help closer in id.

More pics
I was told it was probably mid to late 70's as it came with some old Dura ace/Crane (Black Drilled) stuff, and the lack of braze on shifter boss's, derailuer guides and water bottle boss's.

Water Bottle attachment looks like 70s and the BB area in latest picture suggests that. If no cable eyelets on Top tube than that is another era indicator. PETE

As Pete says, the lack of braze-ons for bottom bracket cable guides, lever bosses, and bottle cages points to the early-to-middle 1970's.
Lovely frame!
