Cable options

I'm sure this has been covered many times before, but does anyone have any particular opinions about the various cable options? I've always used the official shimano kits, but I like to buy in bulk and am looking at other choices. Am I missing something by not going for the Gore, etc?

I like to run Jagwire Racer cable sets when I replace OEM. I used Nokon on mt MTB, but I didn't care for them and went with Flak Jackets for mech. discs. Never used Gore.

tim-pal, I don't want to rain on your parade. This is strictly my personal experience. For eight straight years now, I have bought the "kit" from walmart for $4.83. Zero problem. Zero. None. :D It's so cheap, I overhaul the whole thing twice a year....not that I need to.
