I just took my first ride on the wheels I had built with the rims I bought from Mad Mark. Chorus hubs 32 hole Fir rims, 3 cross 14/15 spokes vittoria pave tires,sweet smooth like butter. I put them on my ti bike and took off the bontrager racex-lites with tufo tubies, the difference in ride quality was amazing. I seemed to float above the imperfections in the road surface. They spun up fast cornered well and took alot of the buzz off the handlebars. After some of our threads discussing tubulars vs clinchers and handbuilt vs boutique wheels it was interesting to actually experience the difference. I had my lbs owner build them for me. I built a couple trays of baked ziti with spicy pork and sausage ragu for the shop to thank him. I also bought the rest of the components from him as well.
