So while taking out my trash this morning I found a wheel in my trash room. It's a Ultegra 6600 hub laced to a Mavic Open Pro. I know the hub can be salvaged, but do you think I can save this rim? If so, how?

No. Even if you got it straight it would never stay true.

If you had a townie that needed something. But otherwise I'd cut the spokes and save the hub.

Nope, it's done. Amazing somebody threw away a perfectly good hub(you can 'rebuild these things? Wow!!!)...

I would get a new rim and use the same spokes, done it several times and still ride wheels with used spokes.

So I pulled all the spokes out and repacked the hub last night. I think I'll just try to reuse the spokes and hub on my fixie. Not a bad free hub though!
