Jeez. Can I send you my beat-to-crap, used-to-be-silver ENO crankset for some work?

What product did you use, how much time did it take, how tired are your arms, and what were you watching on TV during the process?

Oven cleaner, wet sandpaper, Autosol, and a good IPA!

No TV, just some music and some time to think.

Once you start a serious polishing binge, its hard to stop...

what are you using for a coating? Or are you. I have done some polishing and have had mixed success with clear coating. I am almost to the point of thinking it might be best to jut leave bare and polish one in a while

Little parts like that I wouldn't bother clearcoating. Just hit them up liberally with a smidgen of Meguire's mag and wheel white creme polish and a polishing cloth.

No coating. I'll just polish it up.

Made a stupid mistake and tried the same trick on the headset, not realizing it was chromed. Let's just say oven cleaner and chrome are not friends.

Good work, those look amazing.

Mothers mag and aluminum polish also works wonders with a microfiber cloth and an arm full of endurance.

I'm tempted to get some buffing agents and see how that works.

Somewhat concerned it may damage the components.

Ever try that route?
