The screw that holds the cable guide to my Ottrott Ti bottom bracket is rusting away. Obviously my builder didn't use a stainless or Ti screw/bolt. I drip a lot of sweat onto the BB and it finds its way to this area.

What size and pitch count are the threads in the Ti BB of the Ottrott? I need to get a replacement screw/bolt.

Attached is an photo of my problem.

I think its a standard 5mm. Watch the length so it doesn't run into your bb spindle.

M5 x 0.8

It's the same as a water bottle cage bolt thread, if that helps in any way.

Much thanks for the reply. Knowing it is the same as the water bottle attachment bolts helps alot.

It wasn't the bike asembler/builder, it was Serotta. It's what comes there. Any 5mm stainless bolt will fit in there.
