I will be changing my current 2006 cocaine-white Look 595 by removing the current Dura Ace parts and installing my twin's used Campy Record. Lightweight Gen III wheels await as well. The bike will now be more of a black & white theme.

Current white leather SLR will be replaced with an all-black carbon SLR. I looked at Ritchey's WCS stem in white but it's a pearl white as compared to the bright gloss white of the 595.

The pictures of this Time RXR bike should give you a general idea of my desired overall look.

Which of the 4 options do you think looks best with the correct amount of black and white? Yes, I know about the upkeep of white tape...

1). Paint the current stem a matching white and run white tape
2). Paint the current stem a matching white and run black tape
3). Get a Ritchey WCS Carbon Matrix stem in black and run white tape
4). Get a Ritchey WCS Carbon Matrix stem in black and black tape

I thank you for your time and opinion.

I like the idea of the frame/fork 'speaking' for itself, it is the centerpiece. The surrounding black 'frame' of wheels, stem and bartape should show the centerpiece off by not calling attention to themselves. Then as a color accent, you could splash it with skewer, chainring bolt or headset topcap color. That would be an elegant, well-dressed Look.

White on white. And I'm sure you've heard this from every corner of the interweb, but I'll say it again: that is a choice bike. Well played.

The white tape and saddle look good -- I'd stick with a black stem and bars (not necessarily those choices, but whatever you like).
