My Ardennes make standard 23mm tires ride more like 25mm.

Curious if anyone is using 25mm tires on HED C2 type rims. If so, at what pressures?

Very similar to my set up.
Vittoria Rubino Pro 150 TPI 25s at 80-85 front, 85-90 rear.

Great riding combo.

Ardennes with Michelin Pro Race 2's at 80-85 pounds. Very nice on Vermont roads.

I emailed HED this spring to see what tires would fit and work best on the Ardennes. This was their response:

"Anything from 22 to 52. 22 to 24 work best for the road. "

Just ordered a set of Vittoria Open Corsa Evo CX 25s, anxious to see how much smoother they run.

Open Corsa EVO 700x25 at 95psi for my 195# carcass. Really a very nice ride!

One caution; they'll measure an actual 28MM on the C2 rims so check your tire clearance.

FYI, those Open Corsa 25s are the deal of the day (7/05) at Performance for $35. I'd jump on it, but I'm down on Vittorias ever since I flatted in a big event on a new one. I find the Conti 4000 25's wear great and are really nice on my Ardennes.
