Anyone know a good ( cheap ) source for stainless or Ti water bottle cage bolts? I'd like one or two doz and I'm not into paying 6.99 + 4.99 shipping for 2 bolts! Thanks for any help.

A decent hardware store (like Ace) will have SS bolts that work fine.

correct, also - marine stores like west marine or boat us will have a large assortment of ss hardware. ti is significantly more difficult to find.

I've ordered bolts from here before - large assortment of sizes and around $5-$6 for 10 bolts.

They even have the M4 sized bolts used for Colnagos.

Your local Fastenal store should have an excellent selection of diameters and head styles.

Try aluminum rather than ti: lighter and cheaper. One mfger for bikes is Tiso, vendor is at http://www.cyclinginnovations.com/tisoprodbobtlcage.php

It is also easier to find aluminum (rather than ti) at commercial fastener vendors.

I just ordered some ti bits from Toronto. It took 3 weeks for std. delivery (that's a long time for 700 miles - but, it had to go through customs).

The nice part with TC is that you can have your entire order custom-anodized to the color of your choice for just $2 (within his spectrum) - including Ti - although the colors are different with Ti vs Al.

i've bought a handful of little items from both shops. great service, fair prices.

here's the new joisey site:

http://www.jerseycycles.com/

and this from toronto cycles.

http://torontocycles.com/FAQ.html

"What's the deal with You and Jerseycycles?
Bob is my brother and has moved to take more of the USA market and E-bay as well. JerseyCycles is a dealer for TorontoCycles.
We share no real affiliation in direct business, he simply acquires parts from me and we share the same parents. Orders placed from Bob
have to be addressed by him although we do help each other out if either one of us are short on an item or need help.

For a period of time I was helping and was accepting Credit Card Payments for him, this has caused a few issues and some forum debates
due to confusion from Bob. I only accept payments for items bought directly from me.
I also do some drop shipping for JerseyCycles"

And don't forget locktite!

Loctite ti or aluminum bolts and never get them out. Use antisieze plieze.
