"The epic tale of an American adventurer and his mysterious disappearance." My wife spotted this and picked it up for me, looks interesting...anyone out there thats already read it and would care to comment?

He actually did a presentation @ Cirque this year and signed some books. Looks to be an interesting read based on what he had to say about it. He had some great pictures that hopefully made it in the book.

Meeting him would have been nice. MANY VERY interesting photographs in the book! Figured I'd save it for an 'end-of-the-summer' read when I go on my yearly northern Michigan riding vacation. Usually try to read something "local" while I'm up there but this will be a nice change and, I hope, as interesting as the jacket makes it look to be.
