Well, it’s THAT day again, and the various cycling sites were in fine form, at least from what I saw of them.

Here’s a few:

Anyone have any others to add to the list?

Two things of note. My hosts this weekend in Phoenix (yoga blahblah gig for me...) told me that today is a holiday, Hazardous Wastes Collection Day, which apparently is no joke. I assured them that I would stay out of sight and hopefully the collectors would not notice me. My wife assures me that despite my being a hazardous waste that my Zen credentials, i.e., being good for nothing, may protect me.

Also, I received this from Mike Barry of Mariposa Bicycles. You have to be a bit deep in cycling esoterica to get some references but we are here to educate. I'll tell jokes in Sanskrit too if anyone is interested.

To wit:
I was holding off until I got confirmation from SunRace that
our new Paris-Roubaix derailleurs were in production. But now that the cat
is out of the bag you may as well know that SunRace is also working on a
spiffed up version of the Vittoria Margheritta which will actually be 10
speed indexed. *Also Tektro are expecting to reintroduce the Resilion
cantilevers as soon as permission can be obtained from Fred Resilion who at
present resides in the High Wycombe senior residents home. He is 103 this
year and negotiations are proceeding cautiously. Future Mariposas should be
quite something.
Mike.

. . . you’re going to live that long, SPOKE? With present wait times your name may not come up again until you would be 113. ;)

BBD,
just so happens that my name has been on the list for my second e-RICHIE for over a year now. every day the wait gets a little shorter

even if it takes till i'm 113 then the wait will be worth it.......e-RICHIE will be 120 something. if we both are still able to ride our bikes that would just be too cool :p
