The Schrader valves make it an extra special rarity in Le Grande Bouche

And, of course, all the TdF bikes have those spoke protectors in case of accidents in the peleton.

Are you are included with the bridge and the bike? Never thought of trying to get rid of you that way. :) :) :) :)

I never knew there was a Nigerian in Le Tour.

Yes, the tops brake lever, bolt mounted front wheel, and the cable lock still holing the front wheel to the frame were all Tour standard back in 79. Front wheels used to come off all the time so they bolted them and kept a cable lock handy just in case.

William  :crap:

I think it's got to be a joke -- does anyone "troll" on eBay putting up provocative listings just to create a stir?

The seller is in Boulder -- maybe somebody at CU is doing this to a roommate as a joke.

At least, I hope it's a joke...

maybe there's a pub crawl in Boulder called "The Tour de France" and this bike did that one a few times back in the day.

Dear deeplatas,

Ok. Thanks for being honest. I'm really looking for items that have been ridden in the tour. Good luck with the sale.

Dear hookookadoo,

Thanks for your interest. We came to very know each other
accidentally. I only know his first name. Be careful, even he was
involved in that tour, it doesn't mean the bike has ridden the
tour. He may just bought that bike for memory in France. I can
send you more pics if you want. Thank you

Dear deeplatas,

Ok. Just did a search and it came up with a Dave Zabriskie. Was that the original owner? I'm collecting tour de france items and want to be sure I confirm the rider. Thanks.

Dear hookookadoo,

I am not the expert of bike. The frame says it should be produced
in France. The previous owner passed away. His is name is not wide
known. His name is David. He should have replaced the tire. Thank
you

Dear deeplatas,

Thanks for quick response. I guess I meant who manufactured the bike? Should be on one of the tubes. Also, who was the rider?

- hookookadoo

Dear hookookadoo,

No. It is seems very normal. It is made of Steel. Thanks

Dear deeplatas,

Very interested. Who was the rider and what kind of bike is it? Is it a carbon frame? Thanks!
