I have an old pair of Shimano SH-R210 shoes where the soles have separated from the shoe. They are nice shoes, just older. Anyway it appears that some type of adhesive or bonding agent was used originally. Calling Shimano was of no help. Has anyone any experience repairing and re-attaching the soles on carbon shoes?

Thanks!

I thought I was the last person to use R-210 shoes. Both pairs fell apart a few years ago. I have some Shimano MTB shoes from the same era and the soles are only being held on by the cleat screws.

So maybe this is off the wall, but try a cobbler. They know about shoes and glueing soles, maybe this is old hat to one.

That's my thought. There used to be a very good shoe repair shop in Birmingham, near the 555 building...

Maybe a skate repair shop?

Thanks Adam! It should be interesting to hear a cobbler's idea on carbon glued to plastic!

Cheers
