My team pactimo bibs have a large (3-4") elastic band with out a gripper exposed and I love them.

I want to get more shorts with this style gripper but don't want to bunch of team bibs at $160+. Does anyone know what other choices I have?

Could you post a picture please? I think a picture would help all of us ... or at least me.

But keep it clean. None of that "banannas and apples stuffed down the front of the shorts" stuff.

Wow ... that would either be the shortest inseam or ... well, I am not going to say it

Are you looking for elastic grippers that are large in the width dimension or large circumference? I can't help you with the former, but for the latter, I have found Hincapie bibs to have grippers larger in circumference than most.

Garneau Fit Sensor Bibs/Shorts have a wide, smooth leg band instead of the elastic grippers. These are my favorite bibs.

I think the above shorts are what I am looking for. It is mostly the fact that they do not have an exposed gripper that I like. They have a really nice feel on the legs, not too tight, stay in place well.

A lot of shorts I have the gripper is tight, hard to get in place if it is a bit twisted and overall just not as comfy as the above style.

Just for clarification this is exactly what I am looking for - they call it a powerband "Power band --> Better fit in motion, no lower leg pressure, and better muscle support"

Take a look at the De Sota 400 mile bib short. It has a large/longer inseam compression band.

The Hincapie Equipe bibs cost $110. I am pretty sure they are identical to the custom team bibshorts I have (except for the custom part obviously), and they are pretty nice.
