For that price, $20 for shipping is kind of an insult.

That is a bargain compared to this (http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-BOWMAN-CHROME-SUPERFRACTOR-STEPHEN-STRASBURG-1-1-/190398394834?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Baseball&hash=item2c54a0f1d2). People and their money.

I have two groups of 50 anniversary CAMPY that I will be doing a close friend of the family deal to two very good friends of mine, They will see more satisfaction with them than I see in the box in the basement. Additionally it is not about the $$s from them but the smile counts that they will get and the good wine we will drink as compensdation!!! They know who they are. One is on the west coast and one on the east coast!!!

The seller has hundreds of other items for sale. You realize that sometimes people post things with little interest in selling them as a means of drawing attention to their other auctions?

Won't be that long before 10,000 fed reserve notes purchases a used
water bottle at a garage sale.

You quite obviously do not understand or appreciate the subtle differences between these brakes and later ones. I follow these things and have only seen one other boxed set like these in 10 plus years. The only other ones I have seen sold for over $2K. $10K is likely too much, but it wouldn't surprise me if the seller would be able to get $3-4K.

First seen in 1968, Catalog number 16. If you do have these very first gen brakes they are valuable if NOS, NIB..Last I saw that sold were about $1000.

Yes, these extremely-mega-rare first-edition 'no-name' Campagnolo Record brakes (in their current state, NIB) are probably worth about $2500 or maybe $3000 on a really good day. Not $10K, for sure, but as another poster suggested, they may be at $9999 primarily for shock value.

P.S.

Just the pair of calipers, in nice used condition, would be worth about $1000.

Geez, I hope they go for that price. I to have a few sweet old Campy parts around that will some day need a nice home.....Mint push-rod rear der, hint, hint....

Should we put in a few fake bids ?!?
