Has anybody used Lake shoes before? If so would you share your thoughts regarding comfort, quality, etc. Thanks for all your input in advance.

I have a pair of Lake mtn/cross shoes with rugged Vibram soles. Slightly on the narrow side but still comfortable. Very well constructed.

I give them two thumbs up. :)

I've been using them for awhile. No complaints.

Good quality and they fit me well. I like the kangaroo leather uppers (more "give" than lorica). Also, the Boa lacing system is much easier to adjust quickly than straps.

Anybody switched from Sidi's ? if so how do they compare in size, I ride size 47 Sidis.

I am tempted because of the 4 points Speedplay version that Lake has.

I have Sidi 47 Mega for road shoes, and lake tri shoes, I think 47, but for sure wide, they fit the same. I'll check when I get home if the Lakes are actually 47s, and edit this if they aren't.

I also have Lake MTB shoes and the winter boots, very happy with all my Lake shoes.

For speedplay users I am also curious about the difference in stack height of the Sidi vs Lake. it seems that it is quite a bit and may need saddle height adjustment. Which would be a pain as if I switch to Lake I still have 3 pairs of Sidi.

I got the Lake winter shoes this past year - very nice and better than the Sidi version. They fit about the same as Sidi and quality seems on par.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a pair of Lakes when my Sidis wear out.

I've been wearing a pair of the cx330's for a while now that I got after the my Sidi 5.5s (Mega) never quite fit right... I can say that the Lakes with the Boa closure at the rear is the most comfortable shoe I've worn... Size runs pretty true for me...

Been riding inexpensive cx220's in 48 wide for the last three seasons. They have more toe room than anything else out there, and they've been very comfortable. I tried a more expensive model with a carbon sole, but they don't work with Look pedals (rub on cranks)--check before you buy if you're a Look user.
