My hose is cracked and leaking on my floor pump. Last time this happened I was able to get a new hose/cuck from my LBS. I did not like the chuck but endured it for a couple of years. Any recomendations for a replacement? I only use presta valves.

some makers warranty them forever. Try calling customer service if that's possible.

Topeak make a pretty nice replacement hose/head with fittings for just about any pump.

you can use any high pressure rubber hose that fits. heck, go big, go stainless wrapped carburetor hose from an auto parts store!

(i actually had that on my silca floor pump for years).

very inexpensive and way cooler than plain rubber hose.

I used "fuel line hose" from Lowes. Install your existing head with a small hose clamp, and make it whatever length you want. Dirt cheap.

Once you've tried this, you'll never be able to like another chuck:

I'll end up putting one on all my pumps. Smooth or threaded valves, no banged fingers or stiff levers, yes it's expensive but...transformed my Silca to a thing of magic.

70 bucks for a chuck?

It is nice... really nice... but $70?

I may still eventually buy one.... but at that price.... one.

Damn you! Now I have to buy one.

To the OP, topeak warranties their stuff forever.
