OT: window cleaning

i need to get around to cleaning the outside of my windows. some are behind bushes and shrubs making the squeegy/drying portion of it a risky proposition of leaning sideways off a ladder. any ideas on whether rinsing with soft water will prevent spots and streaks?

btw, squeegy on a pole didn't work too well in the past.

I think there is a windex product made to just hose your windows down.

I just saw a commercial for it.
