Here is the reason I did not get that Ottrott I wanted this year.

We call him "The Stig."

Thats just gorgeous!

M3, yes?

I love white cars. I have owned them since the early 80's....Until I bought my silver Porsche.

Many years of safe and health (and fun) driving pleasure!

I think when you are having that much fun driving a beautiful machine like that, it doesn't matter...

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Thats a nice ride. Enjoy. I tell customers at the bike shop getting a new bike is better than a new car. In your case I will make an exception.

I agree with you; while the BMW is sweet, in cycling circles my Serotta is the equivalent of a super car. For less than the cost of a Saturn (my first car), my Legend is something that stops conversations at bike stores, and has the mechanics come out from the back to look. Not at Serotta dealers, mind you...

I've heard this before but have my doubts......

I met the "real" Stig a couple times..... Stig Blomquist, former world rally champion. he stood alone at parc ferme at STPR (rally in Wellsboro, PA) while Travis Pastrana garnered all the attention. Was a very interesting person to talk with.

The show Top Gear on BBC America...has a race car driver that wears all white (white helmet as well) and has never been revealed who he actually is.

Its been said that there have been a few "Stigs" and Michael Schmacher is actually NOT the Stig. One show had M Schumacher pretending to be the Stig, but in the end, it was revealed that he wasnt.

Read about the show here (http://www.bbcamerica.com/shows/topgear/)

Read about The Stig here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig)

Read about Michael Schumaker here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Schumacher)

BTW, Top Gear is by far the best show on TV. The production value far exceeds anything done in the US. The humor and creativity far exceeds anything done here as well (by far).

Its worth checking it out (especially if you are a fan of high end cars and British humor).

Enjoy!

I was under the impression that the Stig is Damon Hill. I find it hard to believe that they would use a German driver in situations were comedy was in play! - Tongue firmly in cheek!

That suggests you are respecting the break-in recommendations, driving in a lot of traffic, or both.

Julian Bailey was one incarnation of The Stig.

Both!
We'll see what happens when I can rev above 5500 RPM.
It's like buying a Serotta and having Ben say: "for the first 400 miles you can't ride faster than 20 mph."

Wow !!!

Enjoy that bad boy.

Don't let them ever know who the real Stig is. I recall an episode a few years ago where the guy who was the Stig let the secret out. The Stig was turned into the Black Stig and launched off the end of an aircraft carrier.

The new Stig has kept his identity secret. Top Gear is the best show in television.

+1 to that love the show.

BTW, I have an '07 Z4 M Coupe. Don't make 'em anymore. It's a blast. Handles like nothing I've ever owed. Wish I had the DCT of that '11 M3 though.
