Simoni and Cunego on the same Lampre team in the Giro. Where have we seen this before? I predict they'll be sticking pumps in each others spokes by the end of the first week. :p

In 2004 and one was the defending champion and the other was a young up and comer. Bit different this time around as the Giro will be Simoni's last race and his form has been more or less non-existent in 2010, while Cunego lost his stage racing stripes a while back. Granted he road a good Vuelta last year and picked up a couple of stages, but he's unlikely to get on or near the podium this time around. So, the two of them being on the same team is likely to be a bit of a non-event this time round.
