View Full Version : iPhone and Mophie Pack - which waterproof bag?

I'm looking for a waterproof bag for my iPhone-I have the small Seal Line and Dry Doc. They work well for the iPhone, but when I add my Mophie Pack battery case those bags are too small. The next size Seal Line is too big to fit in a jersey back pocket...
Does anyone have a good suggestion?
Thanks.

I use an everyday small Ziplock bag for my Iphone, which works fine...

its probably not the answer you're looking for, but i throw my cell into a small zip-lock sandwich bag and toss it in my jersey pocket. i use the type that actually has a zipper, and if i'm listening to tunes, i simply zip the zipper up to the cord in one corner and go.

not an elegant solution of course, but it works.

Sandwich bags aren't waterproof.

What are you planning to do with your phone??? I got the impression that it was going in your back jersey pocket, in which case a Ziplock bag will exceed your needs..

From the Ziplock website:
Keeping cameras dry
Last week, I went rafting on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas. I wanted to take my new digital camera to get some pictures of the river, since it is usually tame enough to tube on. I put my digital camera in a quart size freezer bag inside my purse (which was belted around my waist)because I thought I might get splashed! Never did I think that I would be flipped out of the raft into rough rapids and water over my head. But that's what happened. I am happy to say that I did not drown, and my camera was dry as a bone inside the Ziploc Bag after taking an accidental dive into the raging Guadalupe River! My digital camera is as good as new because Ziploc Bags really do not leak! I don't advise this manuever just to test them, but I'm sold!

RoadBikeRider.com highly recommends this product.

Like the other responders, the jerseybin gave me the idea to use the heavy duty, clear bag with red, resealable zipper that my DeFeet Un D Shirt came in. It is too big but I just fold over what I don't use. I don't see any reason to purchase a jerseybin when I already have one.

Take a look at these.

I should have been more clear...

Yes, that's one use, but I will also be kayaking and at the beach. Fitting in a pocket just means I don't have to always hang it around my neck.

You are welcome. I would have purchased a jerseybin if I did not already have one of sorts.

I originally purchased the WrapPack also recommended by RoadBikeRider in their "What's On" section where all three RBR journalists list their favorite products. WrapPack is functional and secure but not waterproof.

Yeah those soulrun bags are nice :) Thanks guys!

For kayaking though, we don't make any dry bags right now... Not to toot my own horn, but (toot toot) for a jersey pocket we hand make two different things for holding phones in your jersey pocket.

We make a waterproof sleeve lined with fleece :

And a waterproof wallet that will hold your phone, cash and keys.

You can check them out over at http://soulrun.etsy.com ( http://soulrun.etsy.com)

Cheers!
