Man they need to pull the plug on this guy quick. Check out the other auctions -- almost 400 active. You name it and he is selling it...bikes (all kinds and parts too), computers and equipment, Bose systems, plasma TVs, and the list goes on. All with the same MO -- information lifted right off the manufacturer's website, Liquidation sale with a "buy it now" but not through eBay, only by contacting him directly.

If his still around tomorrow, I'm going to report him.

Edit: Oh yeah, shipping is free. One other piece of weirdness is that everything is listed in the Crafts, Floral Supplies, Swags, Garlands category.

Nah, my money says he doesn't even have the goods. Just trying to rake in some cash by trying to get some fool to send him some money.

Look at his 'other' items he has for sale. Too much. Plus look at the categories they are listed under. Zero feedback, "private bids" so no one can e-mail the bidders and warn them, no location of item listed, all sizes are available (this is against eBay rules), mulitples of the same item are available (this is against eBay rules) just registered with eBay today. This guy is running a classic eBay scam. I'll wager that his auctions will be pulled by eBay shortly.

I didn't get to see the original auction. What was this guy selling?

What I was looking at was a cannondle six 13 team edition with record, about a $5500 bike. Selling it for $1700 less than wholesale...alas too good to be true.

I didn't get to see the original auction. What was this guy selling?
He had 3 or 4 pages of high-end bikes, stereo gear and music equipment that he was "selling" at less than half of retail. Things like that just don't happen on eBay. Maybe onesey-twosey, but not like the giant list he had. His sell it now prices were so 'attractive', he was hoping to get enough poor souls that had more money than good sense, to "buy it now" and send him the money right away. Normal enroute time for mail is what, 3~4 days? And transit time on shipping 3~5 days? So he had a cushion of about a week before anyone would be suspicious and start wondering where their 'good deal' was. A 'good deal' it wasn't. What it was, was a common scam on eBay and other auction sites preying on the weakness of people.

<snip>mulitples of the same item are available (this is against eBay rules) <snip> One minor correction -- eBay allows you to list up to 10 indentical items in the same category. Beyond that number is indeed against the eBay rules.
