My wife and I are heading to Vegas, Baby! tomorrow and will be staying at the Bellagio, courtesy of my company. I want to ride the Red Rock loop and am wondering if it is a viable option to take LV Blvd south to Hacienda, then Durango to Tropicana, or whether is is better to drive to the edge of town and start from Charleston?
Thanks

I started out on Charleston, I rented a bike at a bike shop out there called ProCyclery. Started from their shop, if I were doing it over again I would go a few miles west to where the bike lane starts, the first few miles there is no bike lane, and although it is a four lane street lots of traffic. Once you hit the edge of town it is a great ride. If you go that way be sure and go all the way to Blue Diamond, really cool quaint little hole in the wall. Good place to refill your water/drinks and get something to eat if you need to. Be sure to use sunscreen!. Have fun.

Yep, I agree with the above poster. Drive your car to the Red Rock Casino parking lot at Charleston and Highway 215. Ride west on Charleston and it becomes the highway that leads to Red Rock Canyon. Lovely ride and very bike friendly.

Great, thanks guys!
After I had posted my question, I relooked at the map and realized I had at least 5 miles of top and go riding to get to the edge of town...that made my mind up. I'll start at the casino parking lot.
