I am running SR11 on one of my bikes, just got everything set up. I have one problem I cannot figure out. When I am in the small chain ring, I can use the trim function perfectly as I move up and down the cassette. When I am in the large chain ring, however, I have basically no trim--it wants to shift to the smaller chain ring after one click. What did I do wrong in the set-up???

Please help me out here....

Most likely you have the shift cable attached incorrectly. A lot of people made the mistake of routing the cable between the small metal tab on the lever arm and the clamp bolt, rather than over the tab, then under the head of the bolt. That shortens the lever arm length and fouls up the shifting. With the wrong routing, it only takes three clicks to cover the full range of travel and only one click causes the chain to drop from the big ring to the little ring, so there is no trim. It can also cause the shifter to not stay in the big ring position.

If the cable is routed correctly, it take 4 clicks to cover the full range of travel, and the first thumb button click from the fully-right big ring position is a trim click that moves the cage to the left, but does not cause the chain to come off the big ring.

Can you post a pic of this routing. Same for 10 speed?
I think I have done this mistake but not sure...
